Adventures of the Son of Cold

A soft moan was heard from a 12-year-old boy with tanned skin and long, wavy hair that reached his waist. His stature was that of large and plump. He stood 5'0, rather short for his age. He wore a mixed expression of anger and sleep.

"Zeke!" A female voice called his name.

He modeled a large white shirt with green pajama pants and sandals on his feet.
He trotted down the hallway of the medium four-bedroom house he lived in with his mother, grandfather, and father - occasionally. His father always went away when his birthday came around-October 17.
He slowly reached the kitchen, sitting down at the table where he saw his mother, with the same warm brown eyes he always had known. And waffles.

"Are you excited for your first day of middle school?" His mother asked him, smiling at him.
"No, I'm a target."
"Target?"
He nodded. "I'm short, fat, look like a girl, and have super long hair. target."
She smiled at her son who poked at his breakfast, "Think positive, you are just a bit more feminine. Girls might like that."
"Yea but they might not like me."

Zeke entered his house at three o'clock with a smile on his face.

"Mom! If a girl calls will you give me the phone?" He asked his mother happily.
A Chester cat smile appeared on her face, "Did you get a girlfriend already?"
"Haha, no she is a friend. She also likes the 'You had what's coming' Series."
"Oh, well what do you want for a snack?"
"Turkey and cheese please," He said dropping his backpack and making his way up the stairs.  Once in his room he combed out his hair and lays back on the bed, his locks spiraling onto the thick blue covers. He sighs happily and soon found himself in dreamland.

Hours later, Zeke feels himself coming back, by a hand, shaking him awake. He opens his brown eyes to see a pale hand. His father.

"Oh, your back from, well wherever you go," He said pushing himself off of the bed.

He really didn't know much about his father or where he would go around the time of his birthday, which was in two weeks.

"I came back to give you this," Cold said pulling out a small wooden box, "I had wanted it to be your birthday gift, but I might not be here." Cold smiled at his son and kissed his head before leaving the room.

Downstairs in the family room, Serenity sat reading on her Kindle.
"Where do you have to go now?"  She asked smiling at him.
"Alaska."  He said as he kissed his wife goodbye for now, and a bright light shined illuminating him, making him look like an angel. When she uncovered her eyes from the bright light, he was gone.

Back upstairs, Zeke opened the box to find a black watch with a crystal outline. On the back there was a very small button in the center.

In a certain caved house in Nakquiyusha, Mother Nature smiled.

"It is time for the Earth Creator to be born."

Zeke sat in his Algebra class, staring at the watch his father had given him.

"Why is there a button on the back?"

He went with only that thought on his mind, until he stumbled into the library, to see a certain blond. Katia sat at the far back by Math and Science. The small window by the table released light, illuminating her hair, making her look like an angel.

"WOW" Zeke said sitting down.

"Hey I read nine chapters of the third book online, but then I went to sleep."

"Yea I read until chapter nine too, how could Charlie shoot Jay-Jay, after all they been through?"

Katia nodded with a smile on her face, but then it suddenly died.

"What's wrong?"

She leaned over and whispered in his ear," Alex just walked in, I'm going to go over by the computers so he won't bother you, I'll see you at lunch." She flashed a small smile his way before getting up and leaving.

Zeke sighs, taking the watch from his pocket, that he has yet to put on, and staring at it. He stares at the button and decides to push it.

Nothing happens.

"What's the point of a button if nothing happens?"

The watch slowly begins to beep quietly, 'An alarm?'

The watch continues to beep and beep and beep.

His vision becomes hazy and he passes out at the library table.

'My head hurts,' He thought waking up," Why are the lights out? Did the librarians go to lunch?"

A light suddenly started to show itself, far away, almost like a candle.

'Why is there a candle in the library?'

He started walking closer until he saw that indeed, it was a candle, on a table, in a room.

'What is going on?'

He walked further into the room and started to see a laid out mat, with a ball on it.

"Welcome Zeke"

He gasps and turns around to see a woman with long black hair, that looked as if it was kissed by the heavens. The same tan skin as he had that looked silky smooth.  She was clothed in a long ball gown adorned with Autumn leaves.

"Uh, I-I'm so sorry but I just woke up and I saw that light and I..."

She raised a hand to silence him, "It is all right, I brought you here," She walked closer to him and reached for his hand, and the watch he was holding, "this is why you are in my world."

"Your world? What are you talking about and who are you?"

She smiled warmly at him, "I am Mother Nature, also your grandmother."

This is also one of my old drafts that were never completed. It was a sequel to The Cold Loves Me series.
